LUXURY BOUTIQUE HOTEL

HOSPITALITY | 6,240 SGM | 15 WEEKS | SPRING 2017

The design of the luxury boutique hotel is driven by the concept of a lotus flower. The concept is derived from an ancient Egyptian symbol that represents the sun and creation. Also known as a water lilly opens in the morning and closes again at night representing rebirth and regeneration. The lotus symbol is often found in throughout Egypt in places of honor and within architecture and hieroglyphics. Emphasizing the extreme sunlight of the region through floor to ceiling windows to incorporate natural sunlight to represent the idea of regeneration as the sun comes and goes. Diversity in the architecture and guest’s tastes requires approach that emphasizes contrast and simplicity while blending ancient Egyptian architectural and modern design. The spaces will vary in texture, line and form to craft a sense of way finding and comfort. Symmetrical spaces and furniture arrangements contrasted by sustainable pieces will create an elegant and formal environment that is comfortable and inviting for guests. Combined with fresh clean lines and bold graphic patterns that reflect the triangular shape of ancient architecture of the Egyptian pyramids. Incorporating arches commonly reflected in Egyptian architecture, will make a space that truly is a welcoming places for guests to experience.
