ABOUT ME

Hi! My name is Natalie Jump and I am a senior at Florida State University, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Interior Architecture and Design. My love for Interior Design began at an early age. I always found myself walking into spaces and instantly redesigning them in my head. What I love most about Interior Design is that it allows me to create an optimal environment to enhance and improve how a person experiences and connects with a space.

Last summer I landed an internship at a local interior design firm in Tallahassee where I helped choose fabrics and furniture pieces for commercial and residential spaces. I also had the opportunity to meet and work with vendors and to draw and develop floor plans. It was truly an amazing experience that I am so thankful for and it has confirmed that I have chosen a field of work that I love.

When I’m not busy in design school or interning you will most likely find me enjoying my other job as a nanny. Since I have a hard time sitting still, I have picked up not only one small side business but two! The first being a graphic and web design business where I have the pleasure of creating logos and websites that capture clients’ visions for their businesses. The second is a small bracelet-making business where I sell my designs on Etsy. In my very little spare time I enjoy crafting and consider myself a very active DIY’er (yes, I love working with power tools). I also enjoy traveling and soaking up the sun and most importantly, sleeping!

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

My love for Interior Design began at an early age. I always found myself walking into spaces and instantly redesigning them in my head.  I strive to create functional and sophisticated spaces. I enjoy working with intricate details, fabric textures, patterns, and colors. I filter my designs through my own experiences, and this allows me to create optimal environments that enhance people’s experiences and well-being within the spaces.
