THE SPIRE
CUSTOM LIGHT FIXTURE | 2 WEEKS | SPRING 2016

The Transamerica Pyramid inspired the design for the sculptural pendent fixture for Westfield Labs conference room. It was refined and simplified to create a design that replicated the four-sided pyramid with two wings on both of its sides. The original shape was stretch to create a rectangular form to compliment the long shape of the conference table. Small squares around the edge of all four sides of the pendent were designed to resemble the skyscrapers windows. Inspiration for the metal materials and brushed stainless steel finishes were derived from the culture and influence of the tech community in San Francisco.
